Sienna | Brooklyn, NY | Newborn Session

Before baby Sienna was born, her mom, Adriana, came to me and asked me to capture her and Dylan’s firstborn daughter in the first few weeks of her life. Adriana absolutely loved the neutral tones that I use in my sessions, so I knew this shoot would be a complete dream come true for me! I love when my clients are as passionate about the work I’m doing and the aesthetic I use just as much as I am – it gives me more room to be creative and true to the photographer I am!

At two weeks old, Sienna was the sweetest little newborn – with her pouty lips and full head of hair – and even though she was awake for the first half of the session, Dylan softly sang to her and was able to rock her back into a deep, blissful sleep (it was the cutest thing ever!). Dylan is a firefighter, so it was really amazing to see him with his daughter, caring for her and loving her like a little princess.

Adriana brought several different outfits with her that paired perfectly with the cream and blush tones I designed for this session, and I loved every piece she chose! They matched so well with the ones I provide at each session –  it was so wonderful to collaborate with a client and see Adriana’s style shine through in each photo of her precious daughter. The admiration in her eyes as she looked at her perfect little girl was awe-inspiring – capturing it on camera was such an honor for me! I love seeing the look of love in a parents’ face when they are holding their newborn in their arms. It’s a feeling akin to heaven on earth, I think!

Enjoy baby Sienna’s sweet newborn session, and revel in the absolute cuteness of her little fashionista self!

Dina, your work is amazing! I wish you were closer in proximity as I am in search of a newborn photographer in Charlotte, NC. I came across your blog regarding studio lighting (as I was considering doing the session myself) and would like to ask if you don’t mind sharing where you got Sienna’s outfit in the photo with her in the wooden bowl? Thanks a million!ReplyCancel
