Emilia: six days new and already the most beautiful little girl! From those adorable little cheeks to that full head of hair, it’s no wonder these images turned out to be some of my dreamiest yet! I just love every single thing about them!

I was so honored to be asked to capture Emilia’s newborn session by her mom, Rivka, because two year’s prior, Rivka’s sister had come to me for her child’s session! It’s so amazing to see my work become a family affair, and I love that I was able to document these two little cousin’s at different times in their lives. It’s so special to me, and one of the many reasons I began photographing children for a living. Being able to be part of the journey of your child’s life is a feeling that can’t be replicated, and I thank my lucky stars every day that I’m able to participate in such a gorgeous celebration of a little life!

I was instantly so struck by how much Rivka and her husband, Chaim, loved little Emilia – and each other – so deeply. In each photograph throughout the session, you can practically feel the love passing between the three of them. It was a beautiful thing to witness, and I just know that Emilia will grow up with the most wonderful parents. Each image is an encapsulation of the love that two people can feel for their child, and I think I may have shed a little tear knowing that I was able to capture it in the most natural and organic way possible.
